The idler is made of 35SiMn alloy steel with good hardenability and wear resistance, during the casting process of crane idlers, its heat treatment is whole quenching and tempering, and surface hardening. After these setups, the hardness of idlers can be up to HR40-50. In order to make the guide wheel function and extend its life span, the radial runout of the center hole should be less than or equal to 3mm., and should correct alignment when crane idlers are installed on the crawler cranes.
After shot blasting, grinding, and finishing, the surface and shaft of the crane idler are smooth and meticulous, so that the idler can be well matched with the crawler track shoe during work to form a guiding role. And in order to keep good performance in practical applications, we adhere to the original dimensions to ensure the reasonable cooperation of the idler and other crawler crane parts, so that the crawler crane equipped with our idler wheel can work more smoothly.
