The four wheels of the crane drive the crane to travel and rub against stones and sand on the ground for a long time. Therefore, more wear-resistant materials are required, and the processing methods require high precision. This article can help you understand their production process.

The track roller and the top roller are generally made of 40Mn2. The main process is forging and then heat treatment. The hardness of the wheel surface after quenching should reach about HRC38 to increase the wear resistance of the wheel surface. They have higher requirements for machining accuracy and generally use CNC machine tools for machining.

The sprocket is generally composed of 35SiMn or SCSiMn2H, and the idler is composed of ZG40Mn2 or SCSiMn2H. Their main process is casting, followed by heat treatment to quench the surface of the wheel.

Among them, forging is a processing method that uses a forging machine to apply pressure to a metal blank to produce plastic deformation to obtain forgings with certain mechanical properties, certain shapes and sizes. Forging can eliminate defects such as loose as-cast metal during the smelting process.

Casting is a method of pouring liquid metal into a casting cavity suitable for the shape of the part and waiting for it to cool and solidify to obtain the part or blank. There are also many kinds of casting mold materials, and the usage methods are also different according to the different requirements of the parts.

Quenching is to heat the material to a critical temperature, and then suddenly cool it in water or oil to increase the temperature. Tempering is a metal heat treatment process in which the quenched workpiece is reheated to below the lower critical temperature and stored for a period of time in air, water, oil and other media to improve its toughness and ductility. After quenching, the workpiece should be technically tempered to obtain the required mechanical properties.

After the crane wheel body is processed, the toughness and ductility are improved, thereby improving work efficiency and not easily damaged. The parts produced by Shandong Value Machinery Manufacture CO., LTD will undergo professional chemical analysis before leaving the factory to test their tensile properties, elongation and reduction of area and other mechanical properties. To ensure that every performance of the parts meets the standard, customers are welcome to buy parts from our company.
